Photo by David JunkerHe'll go over his formulas for mixing ambient light with flash and for creating different background looks just by changing lighting ratios. He also mixes different lighting instruments and uses reflected light to create unique effects. David says of his presentation, "There's a lot of variety that can come from a white cyc wall. I learned some of these concepts from Zack Arias and added my own twist to some of it. This isn't necessarily the single correct way to accomplish a particular lighting style, but it's the way I do it. I've made use of the equipment available to me (some expensive and some cheap and some even homemade) and have come up with some ways of lighting my subjects that have been successful for me."

The 2012 PPSC Convention is fast approaching!

PPSC 2012 Convention LogoMark your calendars for February 3-7, 2012 and join tons of other photographers from South Carolina (and a few from other states) for five days of fun and learning about the business and techniques of running a professional photography business. We'll gather at the Embassy Suites in Columbia, SC to explore new industry trends and discover ways to stand out in the ever-expanding field of photography. Become a "Rock Star" photographer by improving your skills and attracting more clients. If you aren't a member of PPSC, you should join now and take advantage of this amazing opportunity. Speaking of rock stars, there are several star speakers lined up to present workshops at the convention. You'll also get to peruse (and possibly salivate over) cool new gear and products and take advantage of specials offered by the vendors at the trade show. You won't want to skip out early either because we'll be wrapping up the weekend with an awards banquet, and YOU just might be one of the award recipients, but you'll have to enter the print competition! Stay tuned to PPSC for more info and hotel discount information.
I look forward to seeing many of you there!
Sincerely,
David Junker, CPP (Muse 10 Photography)
