Upstate December Meeting Moved to Januaray 6th

Due to the fact this is a crazy time of year for all of us, we are postponing the Print Competition scheduled for tomorrow, to Thursday, January 6th. This will give everyone a better opportunity to make the meeting. Mark your calendars now and start pulling some files or prints to be critiqued. It will be a great learning experience for all of us.

Ok here are the final details....

The Upstate Meeting on print competition, has been changed to WEDNESDAY night on December 8th.......Please note date and time...

Meeting will start at 6pm at Mitchells Photography on 1325 Miller Road Suite 1, Greenville, SC 29615

If you would like something to eat first, we will me at Peppino's Pizza in same shopping center at 1325 Miller rd.At 5-5:15pm

We will discuss the guidelines for a competition print, the rules for entering, show some past winners & losers (those would be mine), also bring 2 or 3 of your own prints in print or digital format and we will review those too at

end of meeting.

Alot of people pay good money to see a national speaker on a nation wide tour. Alot of the meetings we have here are hosted by people with alot more experience and alot more know how and of course a lot more one on one. This meetings are packed full of good "STUFF". Why pay big bucks for a class with someone with less experience and know how, when you can come to our monthly meetings for Zero dollars for first meeting and Zero dollars for first year membership in PPSC and then Zero dollars for all the other meetings????? If you miss these meetings you are really missing out. Even if the subject does not fly up in hit you in face, GO ANYWAY ! You will be glad you did every time....

We will start at 7 and go until.

Bring a chair to sit in.

We will be discussing the future of photography, how to better provide what our clients want, and

anything else that may come up. Please come with an open mind, and be focused on working

together to better serve our clients. This will be a forum style of meeting where we are happy

to hear your ideas.

November 9th Midlands Meeting

Don't miss the next Midlands District Meeting on
Tuesday, November 9th at 7pm

The speaker will be Bill Grant of Grant PhotoVideo/Grant Digital Media.
The topic is "Social Media Marketing". Bill will be presenting 10 things that will improve your social media experience.
Bill says "There's a lot of talk of the negative in social media, so let's clear up some misconceptions and get people going on the right track. Social media is the biggest change in communication since the internet and we all need to be in a place to take advantage of it."

If you're interested in learning more about effective and free marketing, then you shouldn't miss this meeting!

No plans right now for dinner prior to the meeting, but if you're interested, let me know and we'll pick a dinner location close to the Barbers.

Upstate Novemeber 2nd Meeting

Hello folks, get ready for another great meeting in the Upstate!

The November meeting will featrure Suellen Holmes of Holmes Photography. Suellen will be discussing using layers in Photoshop to create texture and inhance your images. These days we have to set our work apart from others and this is a great way to do it! Suellen will show a live demostration using projection.

The meeting is Tuesday November 2nd at 6:30 at Suellen's studio in Laurens, SC. The address is 100 S. Public Square in Laurens right next to the Capitol Theatre. The phone there is 864-681-7777. So get out and VOTE and then come to a really great meeting!

October 19th Midlands Meeting

The Midlands District Meeting will be a week later than usual this month.

We'll be meeting on Tuesday, October 19th at C. Wilson Studio located at
1001 South Cashua Drive, Suite E, Florence, SC 29501.

Jeanne Richardson is doing an encore presentation of her Coastal meeting on
Sales and Marketing in a Slow Economy. She got rave reviews so Chastity wanted
to make the program available to folks in the Midlands, or to anyone who missed it
earlier this year.

Jeanne will start the program at 6:30pm, and there will be pizza and drinks available
at 6pm for anyone wanting to partake. Please bring $5 to contribute to the pizza fund
if you plan on eating. Also, please RSVP to me so I can let Chastity know how many to
expect for the meeting as well as for pizza.

If anyone wants to ride with me from Lugoff, just let me know.

April 13th Midlands Meeting

Midlands Meeting Info

 This months meeting is going to be a show up and shoot!  We have done this in the past and folks have had a good time. No one is going to be critiquing you or telling you how to shoot.  Show up, have fun, and see how others would do it.  We will be at 701 Whaley on January 26th. It will be from 6:30-9 and from what I've heard/the blog it's will be a great place to shoot!  We need a few models, (people who are willing to be photographed) maybe 4-6 depending on how many folks show up. Bring whatever equipment you want and have fun.  Also, feel free to bring someone who is interested in the organization who would like to shoot to.

CVI Photography is located in downtown Summerville. Take exit 199A from I-26. This will put you on Main Street. Drive until you cross rr tracks. Go to the next light and make a right onto Richardson AVE. (You can make the next left to park for free in the parking garage.) Go to the next stop light at Central Ave. Turn left. The studio is located about a half a block down from the intersection on the left.

The workshop is free but we are asking all attendees to bring a bag of dog food or cat food to donate to the Charleston Animal Society..
