An Association to help make our industry of Photography Stronger
Monday, October 27, 2008
Please join us for the Coastal District November monthly meeting in Mt. Pleasant on Monday November 10th. Gregg Martin will be sharing with us his expertise about sports photography and how he incorporates that split second timing into his other types of photography. The meeting will be held at Cindy Cantore's studio in Mt. Pleasant at 7pm. Directions to the studio will be posted soon. If anyone is interested in gathering to eat before the meeting please email me privately (jennifereasler@hughes.net), and if we get enough interest, the location and eating time will be announced at a later date.
Midlands Meeting
Here is the info for the meeting on Tuesday Nov 11th.
Noel will share her creative ideas for pumping up your portrait and wedding sales.
Some of what she'll share with us is her handmade album covers, painted images,
and Photoshop techniques to turn your ordinary images into "must have" works of art
that your customers can't resist.
Dinner will be at Patty's studio beginning at 5:30pm. Domino's pizzas, salads, dessert
and drinks will be served. $5 each please to partake, and I'd like an estimated headcount
of those who will arrive early for dinner.
The pool table (in studio entrance) will be available to anyone wanting to shoot a game or two
before the meeting starts at 7pm.

Come out and join us this Tuesday the 14th.
Here is the synopsis from Tammy and Kevin.
Tammy and Kevin Bevins will demo off camera lighting with strobes and video lights in a short photo shoot at the beginning of the meeting. We'll then talk about how we use creative posing and lighting to flatter our clients and how to get candid looking photos through directed posing....
We will eat at 6:00 at Foxes Pizza (Foxes Pizza is right down the street (2nd Loop Rd.) in the Piggly Wiggly plaza.) and the meeting will be at 7:00 at Collin's place.

Lamarr Williamson School
Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you know what an awesome time we all had at the school in Myrtle Beach last week.
I took Cheri MacCallum's class on Painter. This was my first "school" experience and I'll definitely go again. The teacher to student ratio was great.
Another great benefit was that we actually got to paint our own images in addition to the ones we painted for instruction.
At the end of the week, we got to print one of our own on canvas (thanks to Ron and Showcase in Atlanta!) and Cheri taught us how to stretch our canvases onto a stretcher frame.
